We are able to offer this free course to residents of Central Bedfordshire thanks to funding from Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Service (BESS) who are supported financially by the European Social Fund and the Education and Skills Funding Agency.
Know your way
Our new and free training programme, “Know your way”, is a four week employment support course for people wanting to work in the health and social care sector.
The course covers a wide range of topics and includes several accredited modules that you can put towards the Care Certificate.
This free employment training course includes:
Helpful employability skills including IT techniques
Mental health awareness, Dementia awareness & safeguarding
Infection, prevention and control
Person-centred care, privacy and dignity
There will be plenty of practical instruction to help prepare you for employment in a wide range of social care related jobs.
The course is free for residents of Central Bedfordshire who are either unemployed or on a low income.
The Disability Resource Centre is a charity and also a highly regarded training facility, running workshops and short courses for people across Bedfordshire and Luton.
