equipment shop here in Dunstable

A plea from our CEO to donate your second-hand mobility equipment to our charity

“Please donate any second-hand mobility equipment to help vulnerable people in our community across Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes and Luton.

The impact of the shortage has been to empty our shop of new equipment (as people from all over the home counties and London have come to our shop) but also our second-hand stock has been greatly reduced. All our wheelchairs for hire are booked out for the foreseeable future too. This has left vulnerable people who are already badly affected by the pandemic, unable to find the basic equipment to help them with their day-to-day life.

So I am putting out another plea to the good people of Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes, if you have second-hand mobility equipment in your home that is no longer needed then please get in contact with our team so that we can arrange a time for you to drop-off the items. Last week we also set-up a free local pick-up service for those that can’t drop-off donated items at the shop.

By recycling this valuable commodity and allowing someone else in your community to regain their independence you’ll be directly improving a local person’s life plus decluttering your own home and helping save the world’s limited resources. That’s a win-win-win to be proud of”

Thank you very much for your help,

Melanie Hawman”

Please remember that if your equipment was supplied by the NHS, please arrange to have it returned to them.
