Vacancy for a Trustee

Trustee positions

You could be the person to help steer our charity through an exciting future

The Disability Resource Centre is an independent local charity delivering a wide range of information, advice and support services to disabled people, their families and carers in Bedfordshire and surrounding areas.

We celebrate our 30th anniversary in 2024 and we need you to help us shape the future of the charity.

Our vision - The first choice for creative solutions to health and disability challenges.

The role of Trustee is to give senior staff a clear strategic direction, as well as support in the effective and efficient delivery of the charity’s services.

Trustees make decisions that really matter, including in areas of finance, human resources, marketing, retail, training and business development.

Please see the www.gov.uk web page for more details about being a Trustee.

We are looking for people who have experience of lived disability or long-term health conditions and those who have skills in Business Development, Health and Safety or Human Resources.

The role of Trustee is voluntary, with out of pocket expenses being paid.

Please send your CV, a Trustee declaration form and a covering letter saying why you would like to be involved with The Disability Resource Centre to info@drcbeds.org.uk.

You can download a Trustee declaration form here.
