Finding second-hand equipment can be difficult. Also, you might want to sell an item that you no longer need.

To address this, The Disability Resource Centre operates a ‘For Sale’ list on which people may advertise items that are surplus to requirements.

This service costs only £1 for 3 months and is open to all, but it must be stressed that no responsibility can be taken for the condition of the items as they have not been inspected and the contract of sale is between the seller and buyer.  There are usually several scooters, wheelchairs, bath lifts and riser-recliner chairs advertised on the list as well as other items that are no longer required.
