Carers Central Support Group for Luton

The group meets twice a month at the Luton Central library as well as The Disability Resource Centre. See our events page for full details.

Carers Eating Disorder Association (CEDA)

If you care for someone with an eating disorder, this support group could help you. We are a Luton/Dunstable-based support group for carers of someone with an eating disorder. We hold a monthly meet-up to share experiences, offer help and support. Please see the CEDA support group on Facebook.
Come along to the monthly meetings for carers; enjoy a cuppa, have a friendly chat and learn more about the support group. We share information and support each other in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere .
Meetings are held on the first Friday of the month at 10.30am to 12.00pm.
CEDA is pleased to announce that, due to demand, we are starting an additional support group session on the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 5pm to 7pm at The Disability Resource Centre.
Come along and talk to other carers, access support from services provided by The Disability Resource Centre or listen to visiting speakers (suggestions welcome). We ask for a contribution of £2.50 to cover refreshments.
The group has been set up by carers with the aim of giving carers the opportunity to support each other.

Physical Health and Emotional Wellbeing (PHEW)

Get support from people with real life experience of managing their own health, and/or caring for our loved ones who have health conditions.
We are a group of individuals who are just like you, not professionals but with real life experience of managing our own health, and/ or caring for our loved ones who have health conditions. We know it can be a lonely place and so have set up this peer support group.
Come along to enjoy a cuppa, a friendly chat and to hear experts speak on topics chosen by the group members.
Venue: Poynters House, Poynters Rd, Dunstable, LU5 4TP
Times: We meet on the second Wednesday of the month, from 11am to 1pm.
Cost: We ask for a contribution of £2.50 to cover refreshment costs.

Fibromyalgia Support Group

Our support group for people with fibromyalgia is very popular indeed. Please join us if you need support.
The Disability Resource Centre runs a regular network and support group with occasional guest speakers for people with Fibromyalgia.
Dates: Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month from 1.30pm – 3.30pm. Please arrive at 1.15pm for a 1.30pm start.
Please do join us however if you are unable to attend let us know if you would like to be kept informed by e-mail or post.
Cost: £2.50 including refreshments and handouts.
