Thank you to our funders

We’ve just received new funding to help our charity support disabled people and carers during the coronavirus crisis.

Thank you to BLCF (Bedfordshire Coronavirus Emergency Fund @bedlutcf ) for some much needed extra funding, especially for supporting local people with disability advice and helping to provide our many online channels. We have received £9,976 in funding via BLCF from the National Emergency Trust (NET) Coronavirus Programme (Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport funding). We are using these funds to help people with telephone appointments along with providing information and advice via multiple channels including; website chat, Facebook Messenger, email, post, new website content and text messaging by phone and WhatsApp. We are also able to now provide online virtual meeting spaces on platforms like Whereby or Zoom.

Thank you also to the National Lottery Community Fund which has funded us to continue to deliver many essential services. These include; support with information and expert advice on disability, money and employment (particularly during the pandemic), plus information, advice and guidance for local people on learning and work opportunities.
