We have received the Disability Confident Leader accreditation
We are pleased to be working with Possibility People, who have supported us to gain the Level 3 Disability Confident Leader accreditation.
As a Disability Confident Leader, we benefit from being able to recruit from a large selection of talented individuals to support local businesses. We will support local businesses, by working with them to ensure they can accommodate people with physical and mental needs and they recognise how to support their employees.
We will also act as a community champion for Disability Confident. We will encourage and support local businesses to become Disability Confident, so that they can provide more opportunities for people with disabilities.
See the feedback from a member of the board who honoured us with the accreditation:
“The Disability Resource Centre are clearly passionate about the ethos of Disability Confident. Employing disabled people, enabling them to thrive in their roles and encouraging others to undertake a similar journey is key to their way of working. They involve disabled people at all levels of their organisation and meet the criteria to be a user-led organisation. I am confident that with their level three accreditation, this will add even more weight to their influence with other businesses locally.”
If you would like to discuss how we can support your organisation become more disability confident, please do get in touch.
