Our charity is fully supporting the call for action from many organisations including ACEVO (Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations) for the government to take action in the cost of living crisis.
ACEVO say in their statement: “We are calling on government to urgently deliver meaningful financial support to those in greatest need, directly to households and through the benefits systems that already exist to provide that support.
We are also calling on government to provide targeted financial support for those charities and voluntary organisations that are on the frontline of supporting people through this crisis, and to ensure that charities, voluntary and community organisations are included in any plans to support businesses.”
We support disabled people, people with long term health condition and carers, their friends and families
We are a small charity based in Dunstable and are busy every week helping people through the cost of living crisis in Bedfordshire, Luton, Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.
For practical help our cost of living page of links provides lots of useful information on income support, energy bills, childcare costs, household costs, transport costs, finding work, discounts and offers. There are several discounts and ideas to save money on food from ASDA, Morrisons, Iceland and Sainsburys.
