The Disability Resource Centre is proud to unveil our new logo as we approach a remarkable 30 years of dedicated service. This in-house designed rebrand not only showcases a contemporary aesthetic but also encapsulates the essence, values, and commitment that has defined our charity over the past three decades.
Our new logo serves as a visual representation of our core values and commitment to inclusivity. The figures within the logo symbolise the diverse range of individuals in our community: disabled people and carers, those with long-term health conditions, their friends, family, and health and social care professionals. We are here to support everyone.
In making our logo accessible to all, we’ve chosen a font that ensures readability for a wider audience. The vibrant purple colour holds significance as a symbol of the disability awareness movement, aligning with the colour palette of our sister brands: Advice Central, Carers Central, and Community Central.

Embodying our commitment to the local community, the partial circle motif at the base of the logo conveys a sense of place. It reflects our ethos – ‘We are here for you when you need us,’ acknowledging the ebb and flow of life. The design choice underscores that while our support is unwavering, we respect individual freedom to seek our support and assistance as and when you need us.
In embracing evolution, our updated brand identity signifies a commitment that transcends time. Despite the visual changes, our mission remains steadfast, emphasising that we are as significant today as we were 30 years ago. Explore the visual journey of our brand’s evolution in the graphic below:

Reflecting on the countless lives touched and differences made over the years, our journey has been one of passion, dedication, and love. Our new brand identity stands as a testament to the growing number of individuals we support every year, reaffirming our commitment to providing caring and practical support every single week.
As we embark on this new and exciting chapter, our gratitude extends to each member of our community – staff, trustees, funders, and most importantly, the people we serve. Together, we pledge to uphold our mission, ensuring that The Disability Resource Centre remains a beacon of hope, support, and empowerment for everyone.
