Join the Care Workers Forum and get paid for attending

The Disability Resource Centre works closely with Skills for Care in a number of ways such as funding our popular Care Academy which provides free courses for Personal Assistants, both online and face-to- face.

They have asked us to help them find a Personal Assistant who would be interested in joining the national Care Workers Forum.

The forum will be made up of 18 carers from across the country from different settings and with different roles.

The Personal Assistant would receive £15 per hour for their time, and the actual time commitment is small.

Participants of the Care Workers Forum will be asked to:

  • Actively participate in four, two-hour long, online meetings per year (held every quarter)
  • Treat other participants of the Care Workers Forum with respect and treat the conversations held at meetings as confidential
  • Be invited to talk about their involvement in the Care Workers Forum through blog posts and case studies, where appropriate

The Care Workers Forum will:

  • Represent the views and priorities of frontline adult social care workers
  • Provide their insight and advice in areas of expertise
  • Offer feedback and advice on projects by the Department for Health and Social Care and the NHS Transformation Directorate

The Care Workers Forum will meet quarterly, with the first meeting taking place on Tuesday 22 November (1pm to 3pm) and held online via Microsoft Teams.
