The Disability Resource Centre is delighted to be working in partnership with Keech Hospice Care. This will be to deliver an advice and awareness session on Tuesday 30th May 10am – 4pm as part of the Care Academy, funded by Skills for Care.

Being able to enjoy the remainder of your life and to live as independently as possible is Important to to us. Keech Hospice Care are industry professionals within the world of palliative and end of life care, for both adults and children. They provide free specialist care for adults and children with life-limiting and terminal illnesses, as well as support and advice for the friends and family.
Within this session, you will be given advice and support on how to prepare and plan ahead for end-of-life care, and information on designing a care plan that supports the person and their families. Throughout the session they will answer the questions:
- Why should you plan ahead for your end-of-life care?
- What is a care plan?
- What is palliative care and how will it help?
- What support and care advice can be accessed through Keech Hospice and The Disability Resource Centre?
- What other support networks and communities can be accessed?
