One man’s generosity touches lives around the world

They are such a fantastic bunch.

Able Williams with the disability aids he bought from our charity and had them flown over to Pakistan.

Here is Able Williams, with the purchases he made from our shop, all ready to donate to a charity in Pakistan.

Able had been given a bonus from his employer for his hard work. He immediately chose to help others with his money. Able bought the independent living aids from our charity The Disability Resource Centre here in Dunstable, and arranged for them to be shipped by air to his chosen charity. They will distribute them to those in need in the local community. It does show how we take things for granted and that how aids and adaptations can make a big difference to a person’s quality of life both here and abroad.

Our brilliant assistant Kyle, drove Able and the goods to Heathrow to freight them overseas, and we were delighted to do this and help such a generous person in a small way.

There are truly good people in our community and we are proud to share this #actofkindness with Mr Williams permission.

People in Dunstable love our free Wellbeing Hub. We’re helping people with advice managing energy costs and offering a whole host of free wellbeing activities every week. Our sessions provide practical money-saving solutions and support in a friendly, welcoming environment. Plus there are free refreshments including free tea, free coffee and free seasonal snacks. So come along to the Mayfield Centre every Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
