At the Disability Resource Centre we work closely with employers to help them find the right people to support their needs. Whether you are an individual employer looking for a personal assistant, or a business recruiting carers, we can advertise your vacancies on our website and help match you with suitable candidates.

Our service takes the stress out of recruitment by promoting your roles, signposting to training opportunities, and offering practical advice on employing a carer or personal assistant.

Carer in Northamptonshire, NN7

We are looking for 3-4 dedicated Personal Assistants (PA’s) to join a small, friendly team suppporting one individual living with complex physical health needs in a calm, well-equipped home environment in Harpole. 

The individual being supported has full mental capacity, a bright personality and values professionalism, reliability and kindness. They are looking to build a long-term, trusting relationship wuth a small team of Personal Assistants who take pride in providing consistent, respectful support. 

Some shifts will involve working alongside another PA (double up shifts), while others will be one-to-one, so good teamwork and communication are essential. 

This isn’t just another care role; it is an opportunity to make a real difference in one person’s quality of life, helping them maintain comfort, dignity and independence in their own home.

Carer in Bedford, MK41 

We are looking for a supportive and enthusiastic Personal Assistant/ Carer to support a young lady in her 20’s who has autism and a muscle condition that can cause tiredness. The individual is sociable and outgoing and is developing her independence. the role incolves offering practical support, companionship, encouragement at home and out in the community. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in working with adults with additional needs and wants to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

Carer in Northamptonshire, PE8

We are seeking a Personal Assistant/ Carer who is compassionate and reliable to support an 8-year-old boy with multiple complex needs. He is a loving and caring child, who enjoys music and sensory activities.  The candidate will be person-centered within the home and during occassional outings and support with medical needs, personal care and engaging in appropriate sensory activites.
 

Carer in Flitwick, MK45 

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant/ Carer to support an individual living with rheumatoid arthiritis and physical disabilities. This is a rewarding role focused on promoting independence, assisting with day-to-day tasks, and providing support during outings, appointments and occassional day trips.

Our current prices for our commercial clients for one Care Academy workshop is £60 inc VAT for half day and £99 inc VAT for a full day.

Join our team of superhero volunteers

If you would like to volunteer onsite at our centre or remotely to help our charity team or as part of a work placement then we would love to hear from you. Our volunteers gain valuable experience and really enjoy helping out in many different departments including events, marketing, helpdesk, admin, social media and research.
